Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 28th, from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., as Bethlehem Lutheran Church hosts The Longest Table: Meal and Block Party!
The day begins with a special Bluegrass Worship at 9:30 a.m., setting the tone with lively music and joyful praise. Following worship, we’ll gather outside with our neighbors for a community meal like no other—one long table stretching throughout the parking lot where everyone has a seat.
But that’s not all—this is more than just a meal. The block party will feature games, a bouncy house, food, and fun for all ages. It’s a chance to share good food, laughter, and friendship with one another while living out the ELCA’s call to “God’s Work. Our Hands.”
This event is powered by volunteers, and there are plenty of opportunities to pitch in. From helping with food service to setting up tables to leading games, your gifts of time and energy will make this day possible. Be sure to check the volunteer board for ways to get involved.
The Longest Table is about more than food—it’s about connection. It’s about breaking bread with our neighbors, celebrating God’s abundance, and building relationships that stretch as far as the table itself.
So bring your appetite, your friends, and your joy. Come join us at The Longest Table—you’ll have a seat waiting for you.
